FixThePixel is a DBA of Priori Enterprises LLC, a limited liability company in Massachusetts, providing component-level desktop motherboard repair services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. What we collect
When you submit a repair request or buyout request through our website, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if provided
- Your ZIP code, for buyout shipping estimates
- Photos you upload of your motherboard
- The fault description and board details you provide
- The date and time of your submission
If you proceed with a repair and we issue an invoice, your payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. directly. We do not store payment card details on our systems.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Evaluate and respond to your repair or buyout request
- Create and send invoices via Stripe
- Generate prepaid shipping labels via Shippo and send you packaging instructions
- Communicate with you about the status of your repair
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your service request. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Who we share your information with
Your information is shared only with the third-party services required to fulfill your request:
- Stripe, Inc. — for processing payments. Your payment card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform.
- Firebase (Google LLC) — your form submissions and uploaded photos are stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage. Google's privacy policy applies to data stored on their infrastructure.
- Shippo — used to generate prepaid shipping labels. Your name and address are transmitted to Shippo and passed on to the selected carrier (USPS, UPS, or similar) to fulfill the shipment.
- Resend — used to send transactional email notifications. Email addresses are processed through their platform solely for delivery.
We do not share your information with any other parties.
4. How long we keep your data
Repair and buyout request records are retained for up to 2 years from the date of submission. This allows us to reference prior repairs if you contact us again and to maintain records for accounting purposes.
If your request was declined or no service was performed, your submission data is deleted within 90 days.
Invoice and payment records are retained for 7 years as required by US federal tax law.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Withdraw consent to data processing, where applicable
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact in section 11 below.
6. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, use the contact in section 11 below.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. This data is collected via cookies and is used solely to understand how visitors use the site. It is not used for advertising or remarketing. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Firebase Hosting may also log basic request data (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and abuse prevention purposes.
8. Data security
Submissions are stored in Firebase, which uses encryption at rest and in transit. Access to submission data is restricted to the site owner via authenticated login. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage with access controls that prevent public enumeration.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, contact us and we will delete it.
