Repair Service Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Scope of Service
1.1 FixThePixel is a trade name (DBA) of Priori Enterprises LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company, provides diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and related services for electronic devices and components. Services may include, but are not limited to, desktop and laptop motherboards, graphics cards, gaming consoles, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment. All services are mail-in only.
1.2 Submission of a repair request does not guarantee acceptance of a device for service. FixThePixel reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
2. Estimates and Diagnostics
2.1 All estimates are based on the information available at the time of diagnosis and are provided in good faith.
2.2 Additional faults or damage may be discovered during the repair process. If additional work or charges become necessary, customer approval will be obtained before proceeding.
2.3 Diagnostic fees compensate for technician time and expertise and do not guarantee that a fault can be identified or repaired.
2.4 Unless otherwise stated, diagnostic fees are non-refundable once diagnostic work has begun.
3. Repair Risks
3.1 Electronic repair is inherently unpredictable.
3.2 Devices may contain pre-existing damage, hidden defects, corrosion, contamination, prior repair attempts, manufacturing defects, or age-related deterioration that may not be visible before repair begins.
3.3 Repair procedures may involve soldering, desoldering, power injection, firmware modification, component replacement, disassembly, adhesive removal, or other advanced techniques. While reasonable care is exercised at all times, repair attempts may be unsuccessful and may result in partial or complete loss of functionality.
3.4 Successful repair of one fault does not guarantee overall device reliability or prevent future failures.
4. Turnaround Time
4.1 Any turnaround times provided on the website, by email, or during communication with customers are estimates only.
4.2 Actual repair times may vary due to workload, parts availability, shipping delays, device condition, complexity of repair, supplier delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
4.3 FixThePixel does not guarantee completion by any specific date unless agreed to in writing.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the device and reported symptoms.
5.2 Customers should remove any accessories, removable media, storage devices, SIM cards, memory cards, peripherals, or other items not required for diagnosis or repair unless specifically requested.
5.3 FixThePixel is not responsible for loss of accessories or items unnecessarily included with a shipment.
5.4 Customers are responsible for securely packaging devices before shipment.
6. Data and Software
6.1 Customers are solely responsible for backing up any data before submitting a device for service.
6.2 FixThePixel is not responsible for:
- Loss of data
- Software corruption
- Operating system issues
- Firmware issues
- BIOS settings
- Configuration changes
- Application issues
- Data recovery failures
6.3 Repair procedures may require firmware updates, firmware replacement, BIOS reflashing, factory resets, operating system reinstallation, or configuration changes. Original settings and data may not be preserved. Unless explicitly agreed in writing, FixThePixel does not provide data recovery services.
7. Replacement Parts
7.1 Repairs may require replacement parts. Where practical, customers will be notified before parts are ordered or installed.
7.2 FixThePixel generally does not install customer-supplied parts. If customer-supplied parts are accepted, no warranty is provided for those parts or any resulting compatibility issues or failures.
7.3 Used, refurbished, aftermarket, or equivalent replacement parts may be used when appropriate unless otherwise agreed.
8. Limited Warranty
8.1 Unless otherwise stated in writing, repairs performed by FixThePixel are covered by a limited 60-day warranty beginning on the date the repaired device is delivered to the customer.
8.2 The warranty covers only the original fault that was diagnosed and repaired.
8.3 Warranty service may include additional diagnosis, repair, replacement of defective repair-related components, or other corrective action at FixThePixel's discretion.
8.4 No refunds will be issued before a warranty claim has been evaluated and an opportunity to re-perform the repair has been provided.
9. Warranty Exclusions
9.1 The warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Corrosion
- Fire damage
- Electrical surges
- Improper installation
- Improper handling
- User modifications
- Customer repair attempts
- Third-party repair attempts
- Shipping damage
- Normal wear and tear
- New or unrelated faults
- Software issues
- Malware or viruses
- Customer-supplied parts
9.2 Any tampering, modification, disassembly, or repair attempt performed by anyone other than FixThePixel during the warranty period voids the warranty.
9.3 Where a diagnosed and repaired component fails again in the same manner after a warranty repair, and FixThePixel cannot test the customer's other hardware (power supply, graphics card, peripherals, etc.) to rule out an external cause, FixThePixel may, at its discretion, perform one additional warranty repair in good faith. FixThePixel does not guarantee that repeat failures are covered beyond this, and reserves the right to treat further recurrence of the same fault as outside the original warranty, particularly where an external cause cannot be ruled out.
10. Shipping Policy
10.1 When a customer accepts a diagnostic estimate and proceeds to payment, shipping costs from the customer to FixThePixel are automatically calculated via Shippo and added to the invoice.
10.2 After payment is completed, the customer receives a prepaid shipping label by email. The customer is responsible for printing the label and securely packaging the device before drop-off.
10.3 Customers are responsible for packaging devices securely and appropriately. FixThePixel is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging.
10.4 Risk of loss or damage transfers to the shipping carrier once a package is accepted by the carrier for transportation.
10.5 For approved warranty repairs, return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless FixThePixel agrees in writing to cover it.
10.6 For an approved warranty re-repair, FixThePixel may provide a prepaid inbound shipping label at its discretion. Return shipping remains the customer's responsibility unless otherwise stated in writing.
11. Abandoned Property
11.1 Devices not claimed, paid for, or otherwise arranged for return within 90 days after notification may be considered abandoned.
11.2 FixThePixel reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, sell, or otherwise recover costs from abandoned property to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14.2 Any dispute arising from services provided by FixThePixel shall be resolved in the courts located within Massachusetts.
15. Changes to this Policy
15.1 FixThePixel may update this policy from time to time.
15.2 The version published on fixthepixelrepair.com shall constitute the current and effective version.
16. Filming & Content Usage
16.1 FixThePixel operates a YouTube channel (@FixThePixel) featuring diagnostic and repair content. By submitting a device for service, the customer grants FixThePixel a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive right to photograph, film, and record the diagnostic and repair process performed on the customer's device(s), and to publish, edit, and distribute that footage on FixThePixel's YouTube channel and other associated platforms, without compensation owed to the customer.
